Hotel U klenotníka

Rytířská 3
Praha 1
CZ-11000
The Hotel U klenotníka ***
The pleasant family run hotel is ideally located in quiet Rytířská Street, right in the heart of Prague between Wenceslas and Old Town Squares. Situated at the end of Rytířská Street is the well-known Estates Theatre where Mozart's Don Giovanni had its premiere in 1787. Heading in the opposite direction one arrives at an attractive little square with an old fountain. The hotel backs on to a traditional street market that brings colour to this corner of Prague. The Můstek underground station is less than 100m away
- The hotel was converted from an old burhger house, its foundations date from the 11th century. Over the course of time, the house was rebuilt several times and the influence of various architectural styles is evident. Of particular interest are the striking ceiling decorations on the ground floor. They were added in the early 20th century when the house was the site of a renowned Prague jeweller's from where it gets its name U klenotníka.
- In 1994 the building underwent extensive reconstruction. A stylish, modern interior was created with great care being taken in order to preserve the historic nature of the house. It is a place to which guests gladly return and forms an ideal base for discovering the beauty of magical Prague.
