The hotel JESSENIUS, originally named "the Esplanade-Palace" was built up in 1913 according to a design developed by Professor Hans Prutscher. A combination of plainness, seviceability and splendour made it attractive to noble clientele from all over the world. In 1948, it was incorporated in the Czechoslovak National Spa and - to be abreast of the times - renamed to remind of doctor Jessenius, the famous physician.
